East Cowes Clock

East Cowes clock

The East Cowes clock, from Carisbrook Castle museum on the Isle of Wight. They appear not to allow photography, according to the notice, although there were no complaints about us using DSLR's with no flash. It's actually shot through glass, as you can probably tell from the slight halo of reflection top left.

Whisky

Whisky

I collect single malts. It's a slow, remarkably therapeutic hobby: mostly, they get drunk with friends somewhat infrequently, or rarely, late on an evening when I need to unwind, or am raising a glass with virtual friends. The collection numbers about fifty, and despite the infrequent purchases, the rate at which I drink it probably means it's growing rather than shrinking.

This was one of the first photos I took to test out the 50mm lens when I bought it. No cropping or other adjustment.
